Descriptions of descriptions
Stages of representation are approached in different moments: a video of hands moving the still images of a looping video—thus breaking the continuity of movement—are projected inside a wooden box; a random still frame from the sequence is printed and installed twice—one flipped 180 degrees in relation to the other: the same image resembling the sea and the sky. The recorded sound of the sea is dimly heard in the room. Three stages of a recurring motif are presented; always implying separation and its opposite: merging.
